At Sue's Memorial Service, July 2014, a few small leaves of a Snake Plant were included among some orchids. Merry Passage, a close friend, has nurtured the plant for the past three years, which has grown nearly five feet! Mysteriously on Sue's birthday, Oct. 9, 2017, it bloomed! In Merry's own words:
In the kitchen last night, the most incredible fragrance kept wafting through...not any that I recognized...and you know our sense of smell has a long memory...I finally realized that it was coming from the flowers of the Sansevieria trifasciata. Wow, intoxicating...didn't notice any such scent from the plant before.
